Nine years ago...

We experienced one of the happiest days of our lives.

Yesterday I spent a little time sifting through our wedding photos and reminiscing on that very special day--

revisiting the moments where we embraced our loved ones who came to celebrate our commitment to each other.
grinning at the photos of our wedding party,
remarking how nine years has touched all of us,
explaining to Amelia that she is not in the photos because she was not "here yet"
and just a figment in our future dreams,
feeling pangs of sadness as images of our grandparents, who have since passed on, surfaced.

So many things change over the span of nine years, but I'm thankful to share each change--for better and for worse--alongside my soulmate, my friend, my dear husband.
