Houndstooth? Oui ou Non??

Classic black and white houndstooth always makes me think of Paris and Chanel, and for that reason, I am always drawn to it and can't help but love it. The other day, while picking up a handful of things at Walmart, I saw a rack of little girl's houndstooth peacoats-Walmart-of all places! I was tempted to buy Amelia one even if she wouldn't be able to wear it for three years. Can't you just imagine seeing a little girl sporting a houndstooth peacoat? Total petite parisienne!

Which brings me to the question:
How do you feel about Houndstooth?

Like it? Hate it? Love it?

Would you boldly wear a winter coat with this iconic design, or would you opt for a safer, elegant houndstooth handbag or scarf?

Or perhaps, do you prefer this fashionable print on furniture or wrapping paper rather than on clothing??

In my opinion, houndstooth is such a striking print that a little bit goes a long way, and it can make any outfit très chic.
Which makes me wonder...
Where can I find a little houndstooth peacoat for myself!

I love it but I have to say. mm how do I say this diplomaticly? I think because of the nature of the pattern it suits those people with a petite figure! I once had houndstooth pants that I totally loved, I was really skinny at the time and they still made my hips look huge. The coat might be a better option or maybe the handbag. Still I do love it and it reminds me of French chic- I would get the coat for Amelia that's too good to be true- get the size that will fit her that winter you'll be so pleased, worth the wait xx Corrina.

I love it. I have a houndstooth scarf, and would definitely get a coat if I could find one that chic near me.

oh my gosh i can't believe this, i literally finished making a houndstooth pencil skirt LAST NIGHT!!!! and then i log on today and the your last post is on the subject of, of all things, houndstooth!! you're not the only one who likes the pattern mandy, i have a feeling theres quite a lot of us!!
this is the first piece of clothing i have ever attempted to sew, and i only did it because i really wanted a houndstooth skirt but wasn't willing to dish out at least 50$ for one. im planning to wear the skirt with a white peplum top (with a skinny black belt) and it ll look very much like a skirt suit!! very excited about this post, keep em coming! thanks mandy:)

I love it on other people, but it is too intense for me in large doses. But there are a cute pair of houndstooth ballet flats on DSW that I am eyeing...

I love it! I used to ALWAYS where it in Jr.High (being the vintage dork that I was).
Ferragamo is all about the houndstooth this season.

I got a brown and camel houndstooth skirt in Paris eleven years ago - its one of the things I am most excited to wear after this baby weight is gone!

GREAT talking to you the other night!

I LOVE it. Recently I've found a purse, top, scarf and skirt at Goodwill...all brand new for very little money. I don't wear them all at once of course :)
